Markham District Veterans’ Association will be having our annual Remembrance Day Service on Saturday November 11, 2017.

The church service, led by Reverend Sam Priestley will be conducted in the upper hall –
7 Washington St., Markham,
Commencing at 10:00 am.

We also wanted to make everyone aware that the area around our cenotaph (S.E. corner of Highways 7 and 48 ) is under construction and we will not be able to gather there for the wreath laying ceremony and the Act of Remembrance.

At the conclusion of the service, the parade will move up to Centre Street to the form up point. Our Veterans and VIP Guests will move to the chairs provided for them in the front of the MDVA building.
Once ready, the parade will move East on Centre Street and then south on Washington Street and halt in front of the MDVA Building. Once the parade is in place we will commence the wreath laying ceremony.

At the conclusion of the event, members and the public are invited back to the club for refreshments and camaraderie.
Please be advised that Washington Street will be closed the morning of Saturday November 11th for the parade and ceremonies.
